Founded in late 2022, Alterium unites the talents of Nicoletta Rosellini (formerly of Kalidia and Walk in Darkness) with former bandmates Paolo Campitelli (guitars) and Dario Gozzi (drums), joined by Alessandro Mammola (guitars, also in Draconicon) and Luca Scalabrin (bass, also in Altair).
Under the production expertise of Lars Rettkowitz (Freedom Call), Alterium recorded their explosive debut album in 2023 and secured a deal with AFM Records. They released a series of singles and music videos that quickly gained traction, amassing over a million views and more than 600,000 Spotify streams in six months after the album’s release. Their singles have been featured in several editorial playlists, including Spotify’s “All New Metal” and “Epic & Melodic”, Tidal’s “Epic Tales”, Apple Music “Breaking Metal”.
Their debut album, “Of War and Flames”, showcases their ability to blend classic power metal influences with a modern twist, earning them both critical acclaim and a dedicated fanbase. The album was also released in Japan through Avalon Marquee and in Brasil through Valhall Music.
Notably, their single “Crossroads Inn” was featured as the official track for the video game of the same name, produced by the Polish software company Klabater.
Their music has landed them spots at various festivals across Europe, including Killerz Fest (Germany), Epic Fest (Denmark), Milady Metal Fest (Italy), and Rimini Comix (one of Italy’s largest Comicons, with over 10,000 attendees, where they headlined) and received their first positive live reviews for their dynamic stage presence. More European festivals and shows are scheduled for 2025, thanks to their collaboration with Dragon Productions booking agency.
In addition to her role in the band, Nicoletta is a professional content creator in the video game and nerd culture industry, and a regular on the Italian TV show Crossover Universo Nerd. She is also active as a gothic clothing influencer and a power metal promoter, contributing to Epic Fest (Denmark) and collaborating with various bands and labels. Over the years, she has amassed over 80,000 followers across multiple platforms.
Alterium is currently finalizing the songwriting for their second album, with studio recordings planned for the first half of 2025 (the album is expected to be mastered and delivered in Summer 2025). With two recording studios owned by band members, the band plans to continue releasing new digital singles every three months between album promotion cycles. These releases will include acoustic versions, cover songs, alternate versions, and live tracks.
Two stand-alone original singles (“Stormrage” and “Sui”), recorded during the debut album session, are ready to be released.
The band is also set to perform at ProgPower USA in 2025, marking their early entry into the US market.
Alterium are available for extensive touring and are actively seeking opportunities.
